Complete Trust, Full Joy: Reflections from Psalm 33

When we trust in the Lord completely, we are invited to rejoice in Him fully. That’s the heart of Psalm 33—those who place their full trust in God find in Him a source of unshakable joy.

We All Hope in Something
Everyone hopes in something or someone. For some, it's their spouse or children. For others, maybe it's a career or even their favorite sports team. (Cowboys fans—hang in there!) But Scripture reminds us that misplaced hope can leave us disappointed. Proverbs 13:12 says, “Hope delayed makes the heart sick, but desire fulfilled is a tree of life.”

This isn’t a warning to never hope—it’s a call to anchor our hope in something trustworthy. We’re not being told to lower expectations, but to raise our eyes to the One who never fails.

Psalm 33 points us to that secure foundation.
